How can I contribute or pledge funds for The Garden Project?
All contributions are tax deductible through InnerLife International, Inc. a 501(c)3. We accept donations for project activities or pledges for the land purchase. The cash donations are for immediate activities while pledges of honor are made in good faith. Pledges will be called in when sufficient milestones are raised to acquire land. Listed below are the project’s general activities and resource needs followed by a more detailed description of each. All contributors are added to our email list receive email updates on the progress of the project unless indicated otherwise. Contributors will receive a credit towards the purchase price of a residential lot in the Garden with the amount of the credit to be determined based on the terms of the land sale and the final community design plans. The Garden Project Activities & Resource Needs List LONG TERM
SHORT TERM
1. Administration
Goal: To provide sufficient administrative and operational support to the Garden Project through the period ending August 31, 2010.

2. Site Selection
Goal: To identify potential land based on site selection criteria and select preferred site based on further inquiry and investigation. Timeframe is through August 31, 2010.

The purpose is to provide funds for limited travel expenses to visit preferred sites based on established site selection criteria and background investigations. It is anticipated that core Site Selection committee members will visit several sites in 3 to 4 regions of the continental United States between now and August 2010. Donations to this endeavor will support the timely selection of a preferred Garden site and the completion of requisite due diligence. Actual travel expenses required will depend on the number of sites visited and the distance required to travel to them and their locales.

3. Incorporation Costs
Goal: To create the legal entity to guide, administer and serve the Garden Project’s development and operations.

In tangent with the completion of bylaws for the Garden Project legal entity, there will be a need for legal services, as well as, the requisite filing fees and expenses associated with attaining legal status on national and state levels.

4. Community “Business” Plan
Goal: To detail the activities and operations of the Garden Project and to create a multi-phased development and financial plan. This plan will integrate a traditional business plan model with modern “ecovillage” community planning models and will be finalized upon the selection of a Garden site.

An identified Sustainable Community Planner and Business Plan Writer will be contracted to organize and write the plan in conjunction with the Garden Project Board of Directors and committees. A charrette will be held at the spring 2010 Garden Project Conference to further refine and develop the plan. The Community Plan is targeted to be completed by August 31, 2010.
5. Pre-Land Acquisition Due Diligence and Land Deposit
Goal: To have sufficient funds to cover expenses associated with pre-closing activities and to place a deposit on the selected site.

7. Comprehensive Garden Project Master Plan
Goal: To create a comprehensive site design master plan for the Garden property. This plan is a sustainable, whole-system design integrating all components of the Garden with the landscape patterns and processes that exist on the site. Site components include infrastructure, the placement of buildings, outdoor meeting and sacred spaces, energy systems, waste treatment, open spaces, gardens, roads, etc. The location and connections of the numerous activities and centers of initiative to take place in the Garden will be detailed. This plan will comply with local zoning requirements.

8. Pre-Development Requirements & Subdivision Plans
Goal: To design the Subdivision Plans necessary to gain the approval of government agencies and boards as required by law.
